This allows the modules to be directly replaced without changing the existing controller program. The MVI56E-MCM has a 10,000-word database which allows more data to be gathered from other devices and which improves operational performance. This feature of the MVI56E-MCM module also allows the users to take full advantage of enhanced features and flexibility without incurring expensive reprogramming costs. The MVI56E-MCM module makes Modbus data appear as I\/O data to the processor by acting as input\/output modules on the ControlLogix backplane.
