Information About 10V4160
The 10V4160 is a GV3000/SE 3-Phase 10HP Reliance Electric Controller. There is a good possibility that, depending on what its manufacturing dates were, this controller was also sold by ABB and/or Baldor Reliance.
The 10V4160 has the ability to swap between the standard V/Hz regulation to vector regulation. When you use the standard regulation, it has a 110% output current capability. When you swap to vector regulation, it can have a 1 minute burst of 150% output current. It is a 50/60 Hz 13.4 KVA controller that has a maximum amperage of 16.8A input and 14.2A output. It has a full load power loss of 250 watts.
It is shielded by a NEMA 1 type enclosure. This type of enclosure is vented and allows for communication using an access door so that the user doesn’t have to remove the cover. Under this enclosure, the controller has many different drive components. It has a fan assembly, a power PCB, a current feedback PCB, a capacitor PCB with input capacitors, a regulator PCB, a keypad/membrane switch, a power supply, a fan wire harness, a diode bridge/ cube, an IGBT module, an internal fan assembly, and a gate driver PCB. The regulator is attached to the keypad using a mounting bracket that is connected to the keypad. The keypad and display are where the user can actually enter in commands and parameters for the controller. The display can show the user error codes and controller data. The regulator board uses microprocessors to perform drive regulation. The regulator also has an RS-232 connection that can easily be accessed on the controller faceplate.
