Information About 1398-DDM-019
The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-019 is a digital servo drive that is used for motion control applications. This drive mainly operates at 1-Phase, 100-240VAC nominal voltage input with voltage range of 88-265 VAC. This drive is capable of implementing Torque, position and velocity control with maximum bandwidth of 300 Hz for Velocity loop; 1 ms speed for position loop and 125 ms for current loop.
The 1398-DDM-019 is a microprocessor-based controller that is also capable of communicating with programming workstations via the provided RS232 / RS454 interface to the digital servo drive. This serial port supports transmission speed of 1200 - 19200 baud and capable of being networked with up to 32 1398 Digital Servo Drive.
The 1398-DDM-019 has operating temperature of -5ºC to 55ºC (23ºF to 131ºF) and storage temperature of -40ºC to 70ºC (-40ºF to 158ºF) with relative humidity of 5% to 90%, non-condensing. It has a working altitude of 1500m (5000 ft) and operating vibration of 10 to 2000 Hz at 2g; operating shock of 15g, 11 ms, half sine. This digital servo drive weighs 2.0 kg (4.4 lb)3.
The 1398-DDM-019 digital servo drive has 4 optically isolated, 12 to 24 volt, active high discrete inputs; 2 optically isolated, 12 to 24 volt, active high, short circuit protected discrete outputs; Dedicated digital inputs; dedicated relay outputs; 1 analog input; 1 analog output; 1 encoder output with 1 MHz maximum line frequency. This drive accepts an incremental encoder as motor feedback.
The Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-019 is a drive module with a continuous output power of 2 kW. This module belongs to the Allen-Bradley ULTRA 200 series. It features the IPM (Intelligent Power Module) technology. The IPM technology produces high-frequency outputs so that the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) can give the drive loop current, overcurrent, short circuit, and over-temperature protection. The 1398-DDM-019 module has an internally-shielded filter that protects the module from electromagnetic distortion. There is a built-in power supply in this module. There is also an encoder output which produces maximum performance and lets the output be selected according to the available encoder resolution. This output is able to divide the encoder signal on the motor into factors of 1, 2, 4, or 8. Just like any other version, this module also has multiple protection circuits. There is autotuning technology in the 1398-DDM-019 module that makes the drive automatically adjust without any setup. This module has more cooling fans than other Allen-Bradley ULTRA 200 modules. Its required fuse size is 20A and its required wire size is 12 millimeters (AWG).
The weight of the Allen-Bradley 1398-DDM-019 drive is 2 kilograms. Its operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The signal output power of this drive module is 5 Volts DC. The analog input of this module uses a 10-bit resolution. The input voltage in the 1398-DDM-019 module is 100 to 240 Volts AC RMS nominal. The peak output current is 30 Amps and the peak input current is 18 Amps. The users need to make sure that they always follow the instructions in the module’s manual.
