The 140DAO84210 Modicon module and its components consist of a front panel that displays a model number, a module description, and a color code at the top center. At the top, underneath the model number, you will find the LED display. On the front of the module, in the center, you will find the fuse cutouts. The fuse cutout area is where the field wiring terminal strip is secured. Please note that the field wiring terminal strip is to be ordered separately. The terminal strip includes a door and a label. The door is removable. The label is for identification purposes and must be placed inside the door of the strip. To do this you must fold the label in half and place it inside the flap of the door. Close the door of the strip securely.
This Modicon component is an AC discrete output module with 16 discrete outputs. It comes with four groups of four channels which total the 16 output. The supply frequency is 47…63 Hz with a maximum voltage drop of 1.5 V. The discrete output voltage on this module is 83…253 V AC. It has one output word addressing requirement. The absolute maximum output on this module is 300 Vrms for 10 s AC and 400 Vrms 1 cycle AC. The response time for this module is <= 0.5 ms at state 0 to state 1 and < 0.5 ms at state 1 to state 0. You can find an indication of a blown fuse or an indication of a loss of field power by checking the fault indicator. For protection, it has an internal by RC filter and internal output protection by 5 A fuse.
The automation environment should stay at a relative humidity of 95 % without condensation. It should be operated at an altitude of <= 5000 m. For operation, the ambient air temperature should be between 0…60° C and the ambient air temperature for storage should remain between -40…85° C. Adherence to these temperature guidelines ensures the best possible outcome with this product.
