With a current rating of 54 Amps and an open enclosure, the 150-A54NBD supports soft start and current limiting for applications such as roller mills, hammermills, roller conveyors, centrifugal pumps, fans, tumblers, rock crushers, dust collectors, chillers, compressors, belt conveyors, shredders, grinders, and slicers. It also offers a kick start operation for specific applications like fans, wire machines, belt conveyors, and slicers.

The controller operates with an input line voltage of 200-480V AC and a frequency of 50-60 Hz. It supports motors with 1-40 HP, with specific power ratings depending on the voltage and frequency: 15 kW at 230V AC and 22 kW at 400V AC at 50 Hz, and 1-15 HP at 200V AC, 1-20 HP at 230V AC, and 1-40 HP at 460V AC at 60 Hz. It features a shock resistance of 30 g for 11 ms and a vibration resistance of 2.5 g for 60 minutes. The operating temperature range is 32-122°F, and the storage temperature range is -40-185°F, with a maximum operating altitude of 2000 meters and a non-condensing relative humidity of 5-95%.

The 150-A54NBD offers multiple operating modes, including full voltage start, soft start with selectable kick start, and current limit start. Optional features, which can only be used one at a time, include preset slow speeds, soft stop, smart motor braking (SMB), pump control, slow speed with braking, and accu-stop. The controller's built-in microcomputer continuously monitors for abnormal conditions and provides status diagnostics via advisory and fault indication LEDs, aiding in troubleshooting and initiating shutdown in extreme conditions.
