Information About 150-C25NBD
The Allen-Bradley product with part number 150-C201NBD is an SMC Smart Motor Controller or may be referred also as Soft Starter. As the name implies, Soft starters are especially considered for protecting motors from start-up stress and damages. Additionally, motor starts are energy saving devices and typically installed for the said functionality.
To protect the connected motor, this soft starter is capable of running the Soft Start, Current Limit Start, Selectable Kickstart, Coast-to-rest and Soft Stop.
At soft start, which is one of the most common methods of starting a motor, initial torque is within the range of 0 to 70% of locked rotor torque. The voltage of the motor is increased without a step reference within the defined acceleration time. The acceleration is an adjustable parameter.
Current limit functionality clamps the incoming current at a certain level to limit the maximum starting current to the motor. Current adjustment may be adjusted from 25 to 55% the Full Load Current.
Selectable kickstart is somewhat similar to Soft start except that when the motor has reached the up to speed condition, the voltage output transfers to full voltage.
Soft stop is similar to coast to stop however, soft stop is an extended version of coast to stop. Using this function, load stop when the voltage drops up to a point where load torque exceeds the motor torque.
This drive is also equipped with an auxiliary contacts with max voltage of 120VAC or 240VAC. To utilize this contact outputs, use a stranded copper wire.
Manufacturer information
Allen-Bradley, a brand of Rockwell Automation, specializes in manufacturing industrial automation equipment. The product range includes programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motion control systems, safety devices, motor control equipment, automation software, and HMI panels. Allen-Bradley products are known for their reliability and integration with other systems.
