The front panel of the 150-C30NBD has the reset button situated on the upper left part of the device. It also features a rotary dial adjustment for power output and legend for status LEDs. On top of the device, L1, L2 and L3 terminal connections are provides while T1, T2 and T3 output for the motor are found on the device bottom. Auxiliary terminals are also provided where 97 and 98 are dry contacts assigned for Overload or Fault indication while Terminal 13 and 14 are auxiliary contact #1 which are user programmable.

The Allen-Bradley 150-C37NBD SMC-3 is a smart, compact, and simple-to-use motor controller with 37A, 200-480V AC 3-phase operational ratings used for operating 3-phase motors. It offers a soft-start operation mode which provides increased torque from the initial value to the full speed range, and a current limit starts to limit the starting current from 150-450% of the full current load. It also offers a selectable kickstart mode by boosting the current pulse to 450% of the full load current to provide a selectable kickstart time from 0.5-1.5s. A soft stop mode is required and used for extended stop time. The 150-C37NBD has a control circuit with 100-240V AC control voltage and with 1500V AC of dielectric resistance, 250V AC voltage insulation, and 2500V of voltage impulse. It also has a power circuit with an operational voltage of 200-480V AC with a current of 37A at 50-60Hz, and it provides a Category III level of overvoltage protection. The 150-C37NBD’s power circuit has a dielectric withstand of 2200V AV, with a 6000V impulse voltage, and it can provide 600V of voltage insulation, with 1000V/microseconds of DV/DT protection. The 150-C37NBD’s has a 250V AC auxiliary input with contact ratings of 250V AC insulation voltage, 1500V AC of di-electric withstand, and 2.5KV impulse voltage, and also a control circuit (electromagnetic) with 1A, 240V AC normally-open relay contact. The 150-C37NBD is fused with 60A Class CC/J/L time-delay fuse, and a 125A non-time-delay K5 fuse with 10KA fault limit, and it utilizes a 125A thermal magnetic circuit breaker with a 10KA standard fault limit. The controller is rated IP2X for use in Degree 2 pollution environments, and is CCC, CE, CSA, and cUL-us certified.
