Description

The Allen-Bradley 150-C43NBD is an SMC-3 Smart Controller. This controller is a compact device that offers multiple modes of operation and protection to the motor such as Soft Start, Current Limit Start
Selectable Kickstart and Coast-to-rest. This smart controller also provides protection and diagnostics such as motor overload, underload, Undervoltage, Overvoltage, Unbalance, stall and Jam protection as well as ground fault.
The 150-C43NBD has line Voltage requirement of 200-480VAC, 3-Phase and control Voltage of 100-240VAC. It may be operated as Line or Delta controller and delivers different output ratings depending on the operating mode of the controller. As a line controller, the maximum continuous current of 43 A, output power ratings of 10 Hp for 200VAC; 15 HP for 230VAC and 30 HP for 460 VAC. As Delta controller, the maximum continuous output current is 74.0 A, output power ratings of 20 Hp for 200VAC; 25 Hp for 230VAC and 50 Hp for 460 VAC. This controller is also provided with One (1) Auxilliary contact operating at 120VAC / 240VAC nominal voltages. Appropriate signal wires for terminating connections to this auxiliary contact is stranded copper wire with 75 Deg. Celsius insulation rating.
The 150-C43NBD’s front panel has One (1) LED indicator that depicts the motor controller’s RUN / FAULT status. It also has a rotary switch for setting the motor overload capacity. This controller supports installation of accessory components such as auxiliary contact blocks, fans, connecting modules, protective modules, IEC Line or load side terminal covers to improve the controller’s performance.
The 150-C43NBD controller’s internal circuits are fused and protected with a 90A Class J/L/CC time-delay fuse with a 70 KA fault limit, a 150A non-time-delay K5 fuse and a thermal electrical circuit breaker with a fault limit of 10KA. Its control circuit uses a 100 to 240V AC logic control voltage, and can provide 2500V impulse voltage with 250-Volt insulation voltage, and a dielectric withstand of 1500V AC. Its 250V AC/30V DC auxiliary contact can provide 2.5KV impulse voltage, 1500V AC di-electric withstand, and it also has an E.M. (Electro-Magnetic) control relay with 1A, 240V AC Normally-Open (N.O.) relay contact. The 150-C43NBD has a maximum heat dissipation of 34W, and a factory-designated operational temperature range of -5-55 0C within a 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity range.
It has a maximum operational shock withstand of 15G with a 1G vibrational withstand, and the 150-C43NBD can function without de-rating at an altitude of up to 2000 meters. The drive provides 4 operational modes (soft start, current limit start, soft stop, and selectable kickstart), and provides programmable motor overload protection via the transformers on each of the 3 phases. The motor controller provides over-temperature protection by measuring the SCR temperature, using the internal thermistor, and it is capable of providing phase-reversal protection using the DIP switch which allows for the verification of input power before start-up. The 150-C43NBD has an Open-Style enclosure and is rated IP2X for use in a Degree 2 Pollution Environment. The controller is designed to meet UL, CSA, and EN/IEC standard compliance, and is c-UL, CCC, CSA and CE certified.
