The Allen-Bradley 150-C43NBR SMC-3 Smart Motor Controller is a simple solid-state controller in the 150 SMC-3 motor controller family, designed for motor operation. The controller has an inline input voltage of 200-480V AC at 50-60Hz with 43A input current and provides 1000V/µs of DV/DT protection, 600V AC of insulation voltage, 2,200V AC of dielectric withstand, and an impulse voltage of 6KV with 1400V reverse voltage. The 150-C43NBR renders internal circuit protection through the 150A non-time-delay K5 fuse with a 10KA fault limit, the 150A thermal magnetic circuit breaker with a standard fault limit of 10KA, and through a 90A Class CC/J/L time-delay fuse with a 70KA fault limit. The 150-C43NBR has a control circuit with 24V AC/DC of operational control voltage, and a dielectric withstand of 1500V AC, an insulation voltage of 250V, and an impulse voltage of 2500V. The 150-C43NBR has a 250V AC/30V AC auxiliary input, with 250V insulation, 2.5KV impulse voltage, and 1500V AC di-electric withstand, and an internal electromagnetic control circuit with 1A, 240V AC Normally-Open relay contact.
The 150-C43NBR controller has the soft start operational mode which increases the initial torque to full range, with an adjustable start time from 2-32s and it can also boost the kickstart time via a 450% boost of the motor full load current to achieve a selectable kickstart time between 0.5s and 1.5s. The 150-C43NBR also employs the current limit and the soft stop operational mode. It has an operational heat dissipation of 34W at 14.3-43A load and it can operate efficiently at a temperature range of 0-55 0C at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity. The 150-C43NBR can be installed at a maximum height of 2000m (6560ft) without de-rating. It has an open enclosure rating and is rated IP2X for use in an environment with a degree 2 level of pollution.
