Information About 1734-8CFG
The Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFG DC configurable input/output module comes with 8 to 24 Volts DC I/O points that self-configure to work as inputs or outputs. It is part of the Bulletin 1734 POINT I/O Digital Module series. The 1734-8CFG can be installed in a machine either before or after the terminal base assembly has been mounted. It has a key switch position value of 1 and it is compatible only with the 1734-TOPS, 1734-TOP, 1734-TBS, and the 1734-TB wiring base units. Ensure that the mounting base is accurately keyed before installation.
The 1734-8CFG POINT I/O Digital Module has 8 I/O points with an on-state input current range of 2 to 5 mA and an on-state output voltage range of 10 to 28.8 Volts DC. At its maximum voltage output rating, the power dissipation is at 2.6 W while the thermal dissipation is at 8.9 BTU/hour. Its POINTBus current specification is 100 mA at 5 Volts DC. Each input can be set independently in millisecond intervals, with a default value of 1000 milliseconds. In compliance with the POINTBus backplane, the 1734-8CFG module supports the removal and insertion of auto-baud, power, and auto-address devices. The module comes with reverse polarity protection and an open-style enclosure. All connected I/Os must run on power from a Protected Extra Low Voltage (PELV) or a Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) compliant source.
Manufacturer information
Allen-Bradley, a brand of Rockwell Automation, specializes in manufacturing industrial automation equipment. The product range includes programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motion control systems, safety devices, motor control equipment, automation software, and HMI panels.
