It comes with 8 yellow status indicators that are on the “logic side” of the module and it has a keyswitch position of 1. The 1734-IV8 is an in-cabinet modular input platform that can be mounted on either a 1734-TBS or a 1734-TB mounting base. It comes with an open-style enclosure and the wires compatible with it are 14 to 22 AWG solid or stranded copper wire rated at 75 degrees Celsius or greater and with a maximum insulation of 1.2 millimeters. This module’s ports all have a category of 1 and it measures 2.21 x 0.47 x 2.97 inches. Because of its compact size, the 1734-IV8 module can be inserted into limited spaces and can be mounted either horizontally or vertically.

Change-of-state or COS connections are extremely fast with the 1734-IV8 which makes it a high-performance module. The 1734-IV8 module also has removal and insertion under power (RIUP) capacities that let users insert and remove the module from its mounting base without damaging or hampering the whole system. The 1734-IV8 has a voltage category of 24 Volts DC and a POINT bus current of 75 mA at 5 Volts DC. Its voltage input varies from a minimum of 10 Volts DC to a maximum of 28.8 Volts DC and its current input ranges from a minimum of 2 mA to a maximum of 5 mA in on-state. The module also has a maximum current off-state input of 1.5 mA. The maximum power dissipation of the module is 1.6 W at 28.8 Volts DC, while its maximum thermal dissipation is 5.5 BTU/hour at 28.8 Volts DC. It also has an isolation voltage of 50 Volts and a non-condensing relative humidity of 5 to 95%. The 1734-IV8 module has an operating temperature of -20 to 55 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
