Information About 1746-A13
The Allen-Bradley 1746-A13 is a Thirteen (13) slot chassis from the SLC500 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. This chassis provides backplane connections and housing to Central Processing Unit (CPU), I/O, Communication and specialty modules as well as the system power supply.
The 1746-A13 is provided with Eight (8) mounting tabs, used for direct panel mounting of the chassis to the enclosure’s subpanel. When mounting the module to the subpanel, appropriate screws are M4 or M5 (#10 or #12) phillips screw. Recommended mounting clearance are minimum of 15.3 cm (6.0 in) for top clearance and minimum of >10.2 cm (4.0 in) side clearance. When used with a rack extender cable such as 1746-C7, minimum spacing is 7.7 to 10.2 cm (3.0 to 4.0 in).
The 1746-A13’s physical dimensions are 50.2 x 17.1 x 14.5 cm (20.1 x 6.8 x 5.8 in) and weighs 1.9 kg (4.2 lbs). The electronic circuitry that hosts the backplane connections is able to provide maximum backplane current of 10A @ 5.1 VDC and 2.88 A @ 24VDC. This chassis is designed to be operated at an environment with temperature range of 0°C to +60°C (+32°F to +140°F). Additionally, spare 1746-A13 chassis may be kept at an appropriate storage area with temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F) with relative humidity of 5-95%, non-condensing.
The 1746-A13 is UL Listed Industrial Control Equipment, certified for US and Canada, CE compliant device and Australian Rediocommunications Act compliant. It is suitable for installation in an environment identified as Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, or non-hazardous locations only.
