Information About 1794-0A8I
The 1794-0A8I module is a FLEX I/O AC digital output module manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This 8-channel digital output module is part of the distributed I/O system that is used to connect actuators that can be triggered by the process logic that is programmed into the industrial automation controller. In this way, the 1794-0A8I module is the interface of the PLC. This module is installed by inserting it into a terminal base that has a keyswitch which must be put in Position 8. Terminal bases compatible with this module are the 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3, 1794-TBN, and the 1794-TBNF terminal bases. Wiring to terminals on these terminal bases means that the individual isolated output is connected to the even number terminal and 120 Volts AC power is connected to the adjacent odd number terminal. Individually-isolated 120 Volts AC common terminals should be appropriately connected to each output device. When any output is in the active state, the corresponding LED indicator turns yellow on the field side of the housing.
The output current rating of the Allen-Bradley 1794-0A8I FLEX I/O AC digital output module is 4 Amps, which means that each output can generate up to 500 mA. The isolation voltage on the module is 120 Volts in the continuous mode (either channel to channel and field to backplane) and 1250 Volts AC for 60 seconds (channel to channel only). The 1794-0A8I module dissipates 4.1 Watts at 0.5 Amps of current and 6.3 Watts at 1 Amp of current. The recommended fusing for the module is 1.6 Amps, 250 Volts AC slow-blow fuses. The module can be installed in surroundings with temperatures between -20 and 55 degrees Celsius. Its dimensions are 94 millimeters by 94 millimeters by 69 millimeters.
