Information About 1753-DNSI
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation DeviceNet Safety scanner that is known as the 1753-DNSI DeviceNet scanner is intended for uses with the GuardPLC series controllers. This module is used for communication through the DeviceNet Safety network and it is produced according to all the relevant industrial standards. The 1753-DNSI scanner meets the requirements of safety-related standards such as the IEC 61508 (Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3) and EN 954-1 (Category (CAT) 4) standards. The supported applications that it can be used for are applications in the de-energized safety state. This Bulletin 1753 safety scanner uses the following mechanisms when combined with the GuardPLC system: a high-speed safety protocol (HSP) signature, a controller ID (SRS), a configuration signature, a safety network number, a safety lock, and password protection.
The 1753-DNSI scanner has an isolation voltage of 30 Volts continuous and it is tested to withstand a voltage of 500 Volts DC for the duration of 60 seconds. The unit uses copper wires that are Category 2 wires on the ports for power and communication. The 1753-DNSI DeviceNet Safety scanner is delivered with an HSP cable labelled with product code 1753-CBLDN. The unit allows for standard DeviceNet Safety connections with up to 63 nodes along with a maximum of 32 connections for either inputs or outputs. The 1753-DNSI safety scanner has an open enclosure and it can be mounted on DIN rail on directly on the panel. The unit supports communication rates like 125, 250, and 500 kilobytes. The scanner has the following dimensions (H x W x D): 90 millimeters x 110 millimeters x 87 millimeters or 3.5 inches x 4.3 inches x 3.4 inches.
