The Allen-Bradley 1756-A10 is a Then (10) slot ControlLogix chassis. This hardware hosts the electronic connectivity among the ControlLogix modules with maximum backplane current rating of 1.5 A @ 1.2VDC; 4A/4A @ 3.3 VDC; 15 A/6 A @ 15 A/6 A and 2.8 A/2.8 A @ 24VDC.
This chassis supports panel mounting with installation clearances of 15.3 cm (6.0 in.) for Top and bottom clearance and 10.2 cm (4.0 in.) plus the width of the power supply for side clearance. If installed side by side with another ControlLogix chassis, the required clearance between the chassis is 7.7 cm (3.0 in.) plus the width of the power supply. ControlLogix power supplies, whether standard, slim or redundant power supplies have dedicated slot situated at the left most location and do not occupy a chassis slot.
The 1746-A10 is available in Two (2) series, B and C. Series B chassis has an operating temperature range of 0…60 °C (0…140 °F) and -25…+60 °C (-13…+140 °F) for Series C modules while maximum surrounding air temperature is 60 °C (140 °F) for both series. This chassis is also provided with Functional Earth Ground that is designed to be terminated with 8.3 sq. mm. or 8 AWG solid or stranded copper wire with insulation rating of 90 °C (194 °F) or higher. It also has a Protective Earth Ground and designed to be terminated using a 2.1 sq. mm. or 14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire with insulation rating of 90 °C (194 °F) or higher.
