The 1756-BA2 ControlLogix Lithium Metal Battery Assembly by Allen-Bradley is a battery assembly for the Allen-Bradley 1756-L6x Controller Series B which is used to back up the controller’s stored information in the non-volatile memory and it keeps the controller’s internal clock working when the controller is powered down. The battery assembly consists of a Duracell Lithium Battery Cell which is installed on the chassis and the battery functions and lifespan depend on the environmental conditions around the chassis and the frequency of use. The 1756-BA2 has an electrical rating of 3V DC supply voltage with a maximum battery capacity of 1200mAh and it employs a (Wire Leads to Connector) Termination type. It has a minimum lifespan of 3 years when used at 0 to 35 °C (0 to 95 °F), but will gradually de-rate at any temperature above this range. The 1756-BA2 is stored at a recommended temperature of 25 °C (77 °F) at 40-60% non-condensing relative humidity, but can be stored at a range of range between -45° and 85° C around when the storage time duration is less than 30 days, and the storage temperature must not exceed 85 0C.
