Information About 1756-IT6I
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I is a ControlLogix analog input module. This input module is exclusively used for Thermocouple and millivolt input for Temperature measurements. This module supports installation to any ControlLogix chassis whether local or remote I/O rack. It is compatible for use with any CotnrolLogix processor and communication modules.
This module is compatible for use with Thermocouple type B, E, J, K, R, S, T, N, C, D, L (TXK/XK). The valid input range for this module is -12 to 78 mV and -12 to30 mV for high resolution range. The module’s resolution is 16 bits with 1.4 ?V/bit (typical) for -12…78 mV and 0.7 ?V/bit High Resolution range for -12…30 mV. Additionally, for -12…30 mV, the Low signal and user counts are 15.80323 mV and -32768 counts while High signal and User counts are 31.396 mV and 32767 counts. For -12…78 mV, Low Signal and User counts are -15.15836 mV and -32768 counts while High signal and user counts are 79.241 mV and 32767 counts.
The module scan time is relatively fast and varies depending on the data format and signal type. For millivolt input, scan time is 25 ms min floating point while 10 ms min for integer. For Floating point format, scan time is 50 ms min.
Compatible data format is Integer mode, left justified, 2s complement and IEEE 32-bit floating point.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I is a temperature sensing analog module. It has a Six (6) individually isolated Thermocouple inputs channels. It requires either the 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH Removable Terminal Block (RTB), for signal wiring. It has an accuracy of +/-0.3 to 3.2 Degrees Celsius, depending on channel, for a local CJC and +/-0.3 Degrees Celsius for a remote CJC.
This module features multiple input ranges, notch filter, real-time sampling, under-range/over-range detection, digital filter, process alarms, rate alarm, 10-ohm offset, wire off detection, sensor type, temperature units, an input signal to user count conversion, and wire length calculations. This module saves the received signal to Two (2) data formats such as integer or floating-point mode. The input ranges available are -12 to 78 millivolts -12 to 30 millivolts for the high-resolution range. It has 16-bit resolution, with -12 to 78 millivolts: 1.4 microvolts per bit and the typical range and 12 to 30 millivolts: 0.7 microvolts per. The high-resolution range. It has a maximum overvoltage protection of 120 Volts AC/DC. The thermocouple types of the module are B, E, J, K, R, S, T, N, C, D, and L (TXK/XK). It has a thermocouple linearization of ITS-90.
The module has a noise rejection feature. In normal mode, it is 60 dB at 60 Hertz while in common mode, it is either 120 dB at 60 Hertz and 100 dB at 50 Hertz. It also has an open circuit detection time that guarantees a positive full-scale reading within 2 seconds. The module’s scan time is 25 ms min floating point (millivolt), 50 milliseconds floating point (temperature), and 10 ms min integer (millivolt). It has a module error of 0.5% of range and the module conversion method is Sigma-Delta. The maximum power dissipation and total backplane power are both 4.3 Watts. Thermal dissipation of the module is 14.66 BTU/hour. Channel bandwidth is 15 Hertz (-3 dB) and the input impedance is 10 M?. Current draw at 5.1 Volts is 250 milliamps and 125 milliamps at 24 Volts. The nominal gain drift with temperature is 65 ppm/Degrees Celsius, while the maximum is 80 ppm/Degrees Celsius.
