The Allen-Bradley 1756-L1M1 is a ControlLogix 5550 controller. A 500 Kbyte data and logic memory and a 150 Kbyte I/O memory are available for this particular module. It does not have a nonvolatile memory. This controller can be installed in any available slot of the chassis. It also has an open-style enclosure type rating.

The Allen Bradley 1756-L1M1 controller has a battery that can be replaced. The 1756-BA1, which is a 0.59g lithium battery, is the only compatible replacement battery for it. Also, only the 1756-CP3 serial cable category 3 is the compatible programming cable for the 1756-L1M1.

It has a noncondensing relative humidity of 5% to 95%. The operating temperature range of the 1756-L1M1 controller is from 0 to 60 Degrees Celsius, while the storage temperature range is from -40 to 85 Degrees Celsius.

The 1756-L1M1 controller has a backplane current of 950 mA at 5.1V and 20 mA at 24V, and a module power of 5.33 W. It has an average power dissipation of 4.6 W and an average thermal dissipation of 15.6 BTU/hr.
