This unfused module is best protected with a fused IFM, specifically a 5x20mm 4A quick-acting fuse (SOC p/n MQ2-4A). Ensure the chassis and power supply are installed and grounded before slotting the module. A removable terminal block housing (RTB) must be connected, with compatible 20-pin RTBs being the 1756-TBNH and 1756-TBSH.

Operating within a 30 to 60V DC range, this 48V DC source module supports a pilot duty of 2 A and a minimum load current of 2 mA. It draws 165 mA at 5.1V and 2 mA at 24V, with a total backplane power of 0.89 W. It can handle a surge current of 4 A for 10 ms per point, repeatable every second at 60°C, with a maximum current of 8 A per module and 2 A per point at 60°C. The off-state leakage current is 1 mA per point, and the on-state voltage drop is 2V DC at 2 A.

The module offers a maximum output delay of 1 ms (off to on) and 2 ms (on to off), a thermal dissipation of 16.71 BTU/hr, and a maximum power dissipation of 4.9W at 60°C. Communication formats include rack optimization, scheduled output data, output data, listen-only rack optimization, and listen-only output data. It allows configuring fault or program mode states per point (On, Off, Hold Last State), with Off as the default.
