Information About 1756-PSCA2
The Allen-Bradley 1756-PSCA2 is a chassis adapter module used to funnel power from one or two redundant power supplies into the single power connector on the chassis backplane. It is an essential component in building ControlLogix Redundant Power Supply Systems. Only one of these is required to create a system, and it is compatible with Bulletin 1756-PA75R and 1756-PB75R power supplies.
The 1756-PSCA2 Redundant Power Supply Chassis Adapter is an open-type passive device. And it has a current capacity of 1.5 A at 1.2V DC, 4 A at 3.3V DC, 15 A at 5.1V DC, and 2.8 A at 24V DC.
The 1756-PSCA2 Chassis is designed to be mounted horizontally. Connect it to the power supply using a 1756-CPR2 cable on the left side. This cable has a bend radius of 5 inches (12.7 cm) – which is also the minimum clearance to route and connect parts.
The 1756-PSCA2 comes with an Ex nA IIC T4 Gc protection type according to the EN 60079-15, and IECEx UL 14.0008X Hazardous Location Certificate. Ground the device according to the grounding requirements of the application. Some applications may require an additional protective earth-ground terminal stud to link the chassis to the ground bus. To minimize resistance, wire lengths should be kept as short as possible.
