The 1760-L18AWA-EX Pico Controller by Allen-Bradley is a 12-input, 6-relay output expandable controller with built-in logic, timer, counter, and real-time clock functions, designed for use as input and control device in a variety of machine applications. The 1760-L18AWA-EX is capable of being installed with expansion modules. Compatible expansion modules include 1760-IA12XOW6I, 1760-IB12XOB8, 1760-IA12XOW4IF, 1760-IB12XOW6I and 1760-OW2. Expansion modules connect to the host controller module through the expansion module connector that comes along with every expansion module purchased. Applicable expansion cable replacement is 1760-RPLCONN. Expansion modules can be operated with different voltage categories.

It may also be used to monitor online the user program and operational status of the controller. It is also used for effectively commissioning the device and configure expansion modules through hardware configuration.
