Information About 1762-IF2OF2
The 1762-IF2OF2 is an expansion module that is used with Allen-Bradley’s MicroLogix 1100, 1200 and 1400 Programmable Logix Controllers (PLC). This module is a combination analog I/O module that has integrated Four (4) analog channels in total which consists of Two (2) Input and Two (2) outputs, both configurable for Voltage or Current signals.
The module’s input channels support differential input while the outputs are single-ended outputs. Compatible signals for both input and output are 4 to 20 mA for Current while Voltage inputs are 0 to 10V. The full range inputs and outputs are 0 to 10.5Vdc and 0 to 21 mA. Having 12-Bits resolution. The with repeatability of ±0.12% .
The module is installed beside the MicroLogix 1100 / 1200 / 1400 compact base. A provided ribbon cable is connected to the adjacent cable to establish the modular bus to provide module interconnection and distribution of bus voltage. It can be installed along the main controller base on a DIN Rail or directly to a mounting plate. Both installation methods require appropriate grounding to eliminate and reduce noise that may affect the device’ operation.
As the MicroLogix controller product family offers limited expansion capability, this expansion module offers a cost-effective solution by incorporating a mixed of signal types and saves expansion and panel space.
The analog input circuitry of this module is provided with an analog to digital converter that converts the received analog signal to a binary coded register with 12-Bit unipolar resolution. Analog inputs may represent magnitude of process variables such as Flow, Level, Pressure and Temperature.
The analog output may be used to drive modulating devices such as a modulating control valve, variable frequency drive, dampers, louvers and many other devices that moves in modulating style. It may be also used to re-transmit data for use of data loggers, indicators, recorders and other receiving elements.
The 1762-IF2OF2 MicroLogix analog I/O module by Allen-Bradley is an expansion I/O module that connects to MicroLogix 1100 / 1200 / 1400 programmable controllers and is built for industrial environments. The 1762-IF2OF2 has 2 differential unipolar inputs with a 2.5-ms update time. It has an integrated analog to digital converter which converts the received input signal to binary condes via successive approximation. The 1762-IF2OF2 has a common mode input voltage range of +/-27 Volts, with 55 dB at 50 to 60 Hertz in common mode rejection. It has +/-0.12% non-linearity, and overall accuracy of +/-0.55% full at -20 to 65 degrees Celsius (-4 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit), and +/-0.3% at 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). It has an input impedance of 200 kOhms at the terminal voltage and 250 Ohms at the terminal current.
The 1762-IF2OF2 has an input voltage protection of +/-30 Volts and an input current protection of +/-32mA. The 1762-IF2OF2 has a maximum BUS draw current of 4 0mA at 5 Volts DC, and 105 mA at 24 Volts DC, with an analog operational voltage range between 0 and 10 Volts DC and 4 and 20 mA, which can reach a full-scale range of 0 to 10.5 Volts DC and 0 to 21 mA. It has a 12-bit unipolar resolution and repeatability of +/-0.12%. The 1762-IF2OF2 has dimensions of 90 x 87 x 40 millimeters (3.54 x 3.43 x 1.58 inches) and it weighs approximately 240 grams (0.53 pounds). It has an operational temperature range of -20 - 65 degrees Celsius (-4 and 149 degrees Fahrenheit) and a storage temperature between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius (-40 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit) at 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity. The 1762-IF2OF2 is built to function at an altitude of 2000 meters (6561 feet) without derating and to withstand a maximum shock of 30G.
