Information About 1762-IT4
The Allen-Bradley 1762-IT4 is a MicroLogix 1200 analog input module. Specifically, this module is a Thermocouple Input module that is especially designed for use in Temperature application and direct measurement of transducers. It accepts a wide variety of Thermocouple sensor types including type , J, K, T, E,R, N, S, B, and C. It is also equipped with a Cold Junction Compensator (CJC) for increasing the accuracy of the module. Aside from Thermocouple sensors, direct wiring of analog mV signals such as +/- 50mV and +/-100mv signals are accepted by this module.
The 1762-IT4 can be used in Temperature applications with measuring range of -210 Degree Celsius to 2315 Degree Celsius (-346 to 4199 Degree Fahrenheit). Up to Four (4) Thermocouple sensors can be wired to this module which converts the received signals to a 15 bit (plus sign) resolution of data which can then be configured for engineering units x 1; engineering units x 10; scaled-for-PID; percent of full-scale and raw/proportional data formats.
Each module channel has configurable filter frequencies which can be used to stabilize reading and eliminate fluctuations. Selectable frequencies include 10 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz and 1000 Hz. Input channels are terminated with signal wires following differential input wiring.
The 1762-IT4 is mounted beside the MicroLogix 1200 controller or another MicroLogix 1200 I/O module. It follows standard DIN rail mounting and lock onto place via the snap-on level located on top of the module. Cables for use with this module must be appropriate for the type of sensor being used. For wiring of mV signal, recommended wire is Belden 8761.
