The 1762-L24BWA controller can be mounted using a DIN Rail as mounting base or direct panel mounting through the provided slots.

This controller has integrated RS232 communication port that supports DH485, DF1, Modbus Master and Slave and ASCII protocols. The 1762-24BWA is a MicroLogix 1200 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This controller belongs to compact controller types wherein Power Supply, Integrated Input and Output channels, Communication ports and Memory modules are installed in one common compact enclosure. This compact controller is ideal for use in small applications, with the capability of being expanded to enhance the controller’s native features.

DH485 is designed for peer-to-peer or networked architecture, DF1 is exclusive for Peer-to-peer transactions, Modbus supports networked architecture while ASCII protocols is ideal for direct communication to intelligent devices.

It may also be used to communicate with computer-based interfaces such as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) or a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). As the Rs232 communication is limited for stand-alone or peer-to-peer connection, this port may be enabled to multiplex with the use of external Interface Converters such as the 1761- NET-AIC.

The 1762-L24BWA features Fourteen (14) 24VDC inputs and Ten (10) relay outputs. It also has an integrated Memory which is shipped along the module. This module may be able be replaced with a Real-Time clock module. The controller is also included with Two (2) Potentiometers that can be used to for analog simulation.
