The 1762-OW16 is a MicroLogix Relay output expansion module. This module is used to enhanced the output capability of MicroLogix 1100, 1200 and 1400 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). It is compatible for use in energizing and de-energizing electrical loads.
This module features Sixteen (16) relay contact outputs that may be operated with 24-125VDC and 120-240 VAC voltage ranges. Each output channels exhibits a signal delay time of 10 ms for both ON to OFF and OFF to ON transitions. Each point of the module is rated for 2.5 A continuous current, Continuous Current per common of 8A and Continuous Current per module of 16A. The 1762-OW16 has Two (2) output groups, each group composed of Eight (8) channels each. Group 0 are made of Outputs 0-7 while Group 1 is made of Outputs 8-15.
Surge suppressors are recommended for installation across the inductive load. This surge suppressors may provide protection to the high-inrush current of inductive loads thus, may contribute in extending the operational lifespan of the module.
When used with a MixroLogix 1100 controller, up to Four (4) instances of this module may be installed. If used with MicroLogix 1200, up to Six (6) modules is supported while Seven (7) modules are permitted when used with MicroLogix 1500.
The module’s physical dimension measures 90 x 40.4 x 87 mm (3.54 x 1.59 x 3.43 in.) Height including mounting tabs is 110 mm (4.33 in.). Installation depends on the base controller. As standard for MicroLogix 1100 / 1200 and 1400 controllers, this module supports DIN rail of direct panel mounting.
