Description
The 1762sc-IF8U is a universal analog input module manufactured by Spectrum Controls, an Allen-Bradley encompass partner. This controller supports Eight (8) channels of Voltage, Current, or Thermocouple or up to Four (4) channels of Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) and Resistance inputs. This expansion module is compatible for use with any MicroLogix 1762 expansion modules as well as with MicroLogix 1100 / 1200 and 1400 controllers.

The 1762sc-IF8U is an 8-input module that is compatible for use with the Micrologix series. This module is manufactured and designed by Spectrum controls. The 1762s-IF8U supports Eight (8) channels compatible for voltage, current, thermocouple inputs. If configured for D input, up to our (4) channels may be configured. It can withstand a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius and operating vibrations of 10 to 500 Hertz. It can be used at a maximum altitude of 2000 meters. If the altitude is higher, the drive must be delayed.
The 1762s-IF8U, similar to other 1762 expansion modules, requires proper connection to a grounding system. This will help to prevent electromagnetic interference affecting each channel. This module is designed to be mounted on a DIN rail or a mounting plate. If required, additional connections to the module must be made through its DIN rail. Additional space must be left between the module and other equipment because this will help it to have better ventilation. When installing the 1762s-IF8U, the cables must be left as short as possible, to maintain maximum accuracy. The module should be located as close as possible to the input devices in order to guarantee accurate operations.
