Information About 1771-NB4S
The Allen-Bradley 1771-NB4S Analog Module is a 4-channel intelligent block transfer module for connecting analog signals to a PLC. It includes two 4-20mA inputs and two 0-25mA current outputs, drawing 1.4A backplane current. The input module provides 4-20mA loop power, while outputs range from 0-25mA with a 3.2µA per bit resolution (13 bits unipolar) and less than 1 megaohm output impedance. It can drive 25mA at 700 ohms and features 140V AC overvoltage protection. The module has an OFFSET drift of ±1µA/°C and a GAIN drift of ±50 ppm/°C.
Maximum update time is 25ms, with a D/A converter full-scale settling time of 500µs, and it achieves 0.01% accuracy at 25°C. Field calibration is required, set at 0.5mA/22mA with a 1-year interval. The module's ramping values are 0.16mA/sec and 32mA/sec for 1% and 200% FSR. It fits into a single slot in the 1771 I/O chassis and is keyed for installation. The 1771-NB4S is tested at 1200V DC for 1 second and built to withstand 1000V DC between input/output channels and input/backplane connections. It operates between 0-60°C with 5-95% non-condensing humidity.
