The Allen-Bradley 1771-NBTC is a high-resolution analog combination module designed for use with PLC-5 systems. It offers six thermocouple/millivolt (TC/mV) input channels and two current output channels, each providing precise and reliable analog signal processing.

Key Features:

  • Input Channels: 6 differential inputs supporting thermocouple types B, E, J, K, R, S, and T, as well as millivolt signals up to ±100 mV.

  • Input Resolution: 15-bit resolution with 3.3 µV per bit.

  • Input Impedance: Greater than 10 MΩ.

  • Output Channels: 2 current outputs with a range of 0–25 mA and a resolution of 3.2 µA per bit.

  • Isolation: Each channel is individually isolated to withstand continuous voltages up to 1000 V DC between input and output channels, as well as between input channels and backplane connections.

  • Backplane Current: Draws a maximum of 1.5 A at 5 V DC.

  • Power Dissipation: Maximum of 7.5 W at 5 V DC.

The module utilizes block transfer programming to facilitate efficient data transfer between the analog signals and the PLC processor. It is compatible with 1771-A1B, A2B, A3B, A3B1, A4B, or later 1771 I/O chassis, as well as 1771-AM1 and -AM2 chassis.
