Description
The Allen-Bradley 1771-OZL output module is a PLC 5 series output module with dry-reed relays. Dry-reed relays are hermetically sealed relays that can be used in noxious environments. The 1771-OZL output module is suitable for low-power and low-voltage applications because of its dry-reed relays, but it should not be exposed to surge currents which could damage the relays. The 8 outputs in the output module are arranged in 4 groups of 2 outputs each. The 1771-OZL output module operates with voltage ratings of 0 to 24 Volts AC RMS and 0 to 24 Volts DC.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-OZL is a PLC-5 digital dry-reed relay contact output module. It comes with an 8 Form A or N.O. (normally open) output points that are grouped into 4 sets of 2 outputs, with each group having its own common. These outputs are electrically-isolated from the module’s logic circuitry. Eight status indicators on the front plate of the module are available representing the control status of the output relays. Once a relay has been energized, its corresponding indicator will be lit up. It uses a 1771-WD wiring arm and can be installed in a 1771 Series A or B I/O chassis. The entire 1771-OZL module measures 4.38 x 1.5 x 11.81 inches.
The voltage ratings of this module are 0-24V AC and 0-24V DC and maximum current rating is 100 mA per output. Note that the peaks, surges, and spikes must fall within the range of the power rating. The 1771-OZL has power ratings of 2.4 W resistive each per output for both DC and suppressed AC. This module also has minimum contact loads of 10 mA at 24V each for both AC and DC.
