Information About 1783-BMS10CGP
The 1783-BMS10CGP switch is a 10-port managed Ethernet switch. It is part of the Stratix 5700 series from Allen-Bradley. The 2 combo switch ports support Gigabit Ethernet where copper and fiber connectivity is supported. The said combo ports may only be used with one type of connection and does not support use of copper and fiber at the same time. The 8 RJ45 copper switch ports support Fast Ethernet.
The 1783-BMS10CGP switch’ power consumption is maximum of 20 Watts. The rated power consumption of the switch is at 40 degrees Celsius and 24 Volts DC is 15 Watts. The 1783-BMS10CGP switch can operate over the entire range of input voltages from 12 to 48 Volts DC. The 1783-BMS10CGP switch comes in an open enclosure which weighs 1.38 kilograms. The operating range of temperatures for the switch is from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius. A minimum of 2 inches of separation should be maintained all around the switch to keep the ambient temperature below 60 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity level (non-condensing) around the 1783-BMS10CGP switch should be kept between 5 and 95%. The operating and non-operating shock ratings for the switch are 30 G and 50 G respectively.
The Allen-Bradley 1783-BMS10CGP is an Allen-Bradley Stratix 5700 industrial managed Ethernet switch. This switch is ideally used to connect Ethernet enabled devices to Ethernet networks of different topologies.
This managed Ethernet switch supports implementation of Linear, Star, Device Level Ring and other topologies to fit industrial Ethernet networking requirements. This managed Ethernet switch has Eight (8) Fast Ethernet copper ports and Two (2) Gigabit Ethernet ports.
This Ethernet switch supports Resilient Ring Protocol, Flex Links, Quality of Service (QoS), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), RSTP and MST, IGMP snooping with querier, VLANs with trunking, EtherChannel or link aggregation, Port Treshold (Storm control and Traffic shaping), Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPV6) support, Access control lists (ACLs), and Static and InterVLAN routing for switching control.
The 1783-BMS10CGP is also provided with internal security features such as CIP port control & fault detection, MAC ID Port Security, IEEE 802.1x security, and TACACS+, RADIUS authentication. Internal diagnostics are loaded as well including Port mirroring, Syslog, Broken wire detection, and Duplicate IP detection. For device management, the switch’ inclusive features are SNMP, Smartports, DHCP per port, Command Line Interface (CLI), and Compatible with Cisco tools: CNA, CiscoWorks.
This switch may be used to interface controllers to implement Distributed I/O architecture, data exchange between controllers and intelligent devices within the network and interaction with Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
