The 1783-EMS08T supports expansion and installation of 1 Gigabyte Fiber Optic Transceiver or Single Form-factor Pluggable interface for interfacing Fiber Optic medium used for faster and noise immune communication network.
For wiring of Ethernet interface, recommended cable is Category 5e according to TIA 568-B.1 or Category 5 cable according to ISO/IEC 24702 standard. For Power connection, recommended wire size range is 0.33…3.3 mm2 or 22...12 AWG, solid or stranded copper wire with insulation rating of 75 °C or 167 °F or higher with maximum insulation of 1.2 mm or 3/64 inches. For ground connection, recommended wire is 3.3 mm2 or 12 AWG solid or stranded copper wire with insulation rating of 75 °C or 167 °F or higher. When terminating wires to the device’ power and ground terminals, required Torque is 1.36 Nm or 12 lb-inches.
