It also has Four (4) Current sourcing outputs with 0.7 A per output; 8 A total module @ 40 °C (104 °F) and 6 A total module @ 60 °C (140 °F). This module comes with One (1) Ethernet I/P port for network connection.

This module connects to an Ethernet I/P safety network and appropriate for application that require Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Category Level (CL) 3. This module is capable of performing sled-diagnostics and permits locking of safety configuration.
Additionally, the 1791ES-IB8XOBV4 provides I/O status feedback which enable operators to monitor safety circuits. Apecifically, the 1791ES-IB8XOBV4 is capable of monitoring Individual point input status, Combined input status, Individual point output status, Combined output status, Individual test output status and Individual output readback (actual ON/OFF state of the outputs).
The 1791ES-IB8XOBV4 comes with Eight (8) current sinking Safety inputs with minimum On-state voltage of 11VDC and minimum on-state current of 3.3 mA. The input types are IEC 61131-2 Type 3. It also has separate Pulse test outputs that allows identification of line short circuit which may also be configured as standard outputs. This module also has Four (4) dual channel bipolar Current sourcing outputs with 0.7 A per output; 8 A total module @ 40 °C (104 °F) and 6 A total module @ 60 °C (140 °F).
This module also comes with One (1) Ethernet I/P port for network connection. The Ethernet port is an RJ45 port that permits connection to the Ethernet I/P safety network. The IP address may be configured using the provided rotary switches located on the front panel of the module. Additionally, IP address setting may also be configured using the BOOTP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server. It may also be configured by retrieving an existing IP address from a non-volatile memory.
The 1791ES-IB8XOBV4 module’s current sourcing pulse test outputs have a maximum output leakage current of 0.1 mA and a maximum residual voltage of 1.2 Volts.
