Information About 1794-AENTRXT
The Allen-Bradley 1794-AENTRXT adapter module is a Flex I/O dual port Ethernet I/O adapter module. To protect the 1794-AENTRXT adapter module from ESD, Allen-Bradley recommends the following guidelines related to handling of the module: a static-safe workstation should be used, approved grounded wrist straps should be worn by the technicians, touching the components and connectors on the module should be avoided, and static-safe packaging should be used for module storage. The 1794-AENTRXT adapter module is North American Hazardous Location approved. To comply with the CE LVD (low voltage directive), the 1794-AENTRXT adapter module must be powered from a SELV or PELV-compliant power supply. This module is grounded through the DIN Rail to the chassis ground. A zinc-plated yellow-chromate steel DIN Rail should be used to ensure proper grounding.
The 1794-AENTRXT adapter module should not be replaced or removed when the power is applied. The interruption of the backplane can cause unintentional machine motion or operation. The dimensions of the 1794-AENTRXT adapter module are 87.4 x 94 x 92 millimeters. The 1794-AENTRXT adapter module is conformally coated to meet the noxious gas requirements of the ISA / ANSI-71.040 1985 standards. The approximate weight of the module is 227 grams. The recommended terminal screw torque is 0.8 N-m. The enclosure of the module is open. The I/O module capacity is 8 I/O and the supported Ethernet data rate is 10/100 Mbps. Indicators for the module status, network status, Link 1 status, and Link 2 status are provided on the 1794-AENTRXT adapter module. The module input voltage range is 19.2 to 31.2 Volts DC. The nominal input voltage is 24 Volts DC. The peak current drawn by the module is 500 milliamps while the typical current draw is 400 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. There are 2 Ethernet Category 5 connectors on the 1794-AENTRXT adapter module.
