Information About 1794-CE1
The 1794-CE1 is an Allen-Bradley extended local interconnect cable. It is 1 foot long. This cable is used when an operator needs to make connections between two devices or more. It is also used to join electrical conductors to the terminals of other electronic devices and to other electrical conductors. This cable is a passive electrical component which features two terminals that store energy in their magnetic fields. When installing this cable, more than one cable should not be used per system. This cable is used for DIN rail mounting. When installing the 1794-CE1 on an existing DIN mount system, the plug from the male Flexbus connector should be removed.
The 1794-CE1 should be inserted into the mating connector that is on the terminal base unit’s right side. When this happens, the operator should then press it firmly to seal it. The position of the hole which is on the mounting surface is marked using a drill bit. The cable is then screwed in by the screws supplied in its kit. During this operation, the users need to make sure that the modules that are located under the panel that is being mounted are covered. This helps in preventing chips from falling into the module and causing shorting out on the backplane. The snap-on washer which locks the cable should then be pushed to lock it and the DIN rail screwed in the cable end. Apart from DIN rail mounting, the 1794-CE1 can also be installed on a panel. The procedure of installing this cable on a panel is similar to that of the DIN rail. This cable is coated to protect it from getting damaged and also to ensure the safety of the operators. It prevents them from being shocked by the electricity. This cable should be kept away from fire as it may damage it.
