Information About 1794-IB32

The 1794-IB32 is an Allen-Bradley module that belongs to the Flex I/O product family of Distributed I/O components. This module is an input interface device, allowing field instruments and electrical devices such as Pushbutton devices, limit switches, proximity sensors, float switches, process switches, relay contacts and contactor auxilliary contacts to be integrated to any automatically control system or process.

The 1794-IB32 accommodates up to Thirty-Two (32) DC input devices. It is a 32-Channel current, sinking module with each channel having a minimum on-state voltage range of 192.VDC and maximum range of 31.2VDC with nominal signal level of 24VDC.

The 1794-IB32 is capable of being installed with Flex I/O communication adapters such as Ethernet, ControlNet, Remote I/O and other adapters. There is no limit with the number of installations instances supported by this module, as long as Flex I/O installation requirements are followed.

The 1794-IB32 is a High-density input channels. Each of the 32 channels is provided with LED indicator, for monitoring of each’ channel activity. This aids in faster identification of an active channel and verification of a properly working input device. These LED indicators simply energize when signal is received and turns OFF when signal is not present.

This module attaches to a Flex I/O terminals base. Terminal base provide input and power terminals as well as DIN rail installation slot. Compatible terminal base for use with this high-density input module are 1794-TB32, 1794-TB32S, 1794-TB62DS and 1794-TB62EXD4X15. Terminal bases also allow the module to be removed and inserted under power.

The 1794-IB32 has a nominal on-state voltage of 24 Volts DC and the on-state voltage ranges from a minimum of 19.2 Volts DC to a maximum of 31.2 Volts DC. Its maximum off-state voltage is 5 Volts DC and its maximum off-state current is 1.5 milliamps. The 1794-IB32’s nominal on-state current is 4.1 milliamps at 24 Volts DC and it ranges from 2 milliamps minimum to 6 milliamps maximum. The FlexBus current of this module is 30 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. While there is no isolation between individual channels, the 1794-IB32 has an isolation voltage of 50 Volts which is continuous between the system and field side. It has a maximum thermal dissipation of 20.47 BTU/hour at 31.2 Volts DC and maximum power dissipation of 6 Watts at 31.2 Volts DC. The operating temperature of the module is 0 to 55 degrees Celsius while its storage temperature is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. It has an operating vibration of 5 G at 10 to 500 Hertz, an operating shock of 30 G, and a non-operating shock of 50 G. The 1794-IB32 also has a relative humidity range of 5 to 95% that is non-condensing.
