The Allen-Bradley 1794-OF8IH module is made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as a FLEX I/O module. TheAllen-Bradley1794-OF8IH FLEX I/O module is an output module with HART capability. It comes with up to 8 analog outputs that are configurable for 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA. The 1794-OF8IH module can be used without jumpers and switches and it has multiple data ranges that the users can program independently on each channel. This output module can also detect lead breakages and it has alarms for over range and underrange current situations.

The Allen-Bradley 1794-OF8IH output module can be installed on a terminal base with. It locks to the terminal base when the key switch is rotated into position 4. This module supports pass-through messages with 1 or 2 pass-through connections supporting 8 queues per connection. Pass-through messages make it possible for the module to send HART messages to HART devices. Its data conversion rate is 10 milliseconds. The Allen-Bradley 1794-OF8IH module can operate in a temperature range of 32 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit.

This module comes with Eight (8) analog output channels that are configurable for Current output such as 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA output signals. It has a resolution of 16 bits in unipolar format with actual resolution of 0.305 ?A/cnt. It uses an internal conversion rate of 10 ms with conversion rate of 16-bits digital to analog converter. The module channel’s settling time is 70 ms.

This module does not require an external power supply to be operated. It receives power from the FlexBus current with a rated value of 80 mA @ 5V DC. This module has a maximum power dissipation of 5.0 W @ 24V DC and maximum Thermal dissipation 17.06 BTU/hr @ 24V DC.

This Flex I/O module is compatible for installation in 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S terminal bases. It is factory calibrated and requires keyswitch position 4 when installing to the appropriate terminal base. Additionally, the wire type for use with this module depends on the type of the terminal base used by the 1794-OF8IH module.

This module has a dedicated register for HART data. This register is a 6 WORD register that contains the Fields Device, HART Communication, Loop Status, and primary value in IEEE 754-1985 Single-Precision 32-bit floating point.
