Description 

The 1794-TB2 terminal base unit has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is available through the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O 1794 series. The 1794-TB2 terminal base unit is a cage clamp type of terminal base unit. This terminal base unit is UL listed and CSA certified. The 1794-TB2 terminal base unit can be mounted on either a panel or DIN Rail.

The Allen-Bradley 1794-TB2 is a FLEX I/O terminal base unit. It comes with 1 row of 16 terminals, 1 row of 18 terminals, and 1 row of 2 terminals. This Series A terminal base unit uses a cage clamp and 2-wire screw termination and can mount on a panel or DIN rail. The entire 1794-TB2 unit measures 3.7 x 2.7 x 3.7 inches and has an open-type enclosure. Users can only use a 5 to 7 pounds on an inch screw torque for this module. Connection cables compatible with this base unit are the 24 to 16 AWG stranded copper wire and 3/64-inch insulation, category 2 wires.

The 1794-TB2 has the following components: a female Flexbus connector, a male Flexbus connector and a cover plug for it, a key switch, holes for mounting it on a panel, input/output terminal strips, a locking tab, and a module locking latch. The 1794-TB2 has a maximum current capacity of 10 Amps and a 125 Volts AC/DC maximum voltage rating. The isolation voltage of this base unit is not fixed, as its channel-to-channel isolation depends on the inserted module. It has an operating temperature of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The operating vibration has been tested at 5 g at 10 to 500 Hertz. It also has an operating shock of 30 g and a non-operating shock of 50 g.
