The percentage of the thermal capacity utilization or the %TCU gives a report of the calculated value, which is then read through a communications network. For an overload trip to occur, the value must reach 100%. The Allen-Bradley 193-EA1FB electronic overload relay has a thermal memory circuit which is designed to estimate the thermal decay in the Trip Class 20 settings. As a result, the thermal model of the connected motor is maintained even when there is no power supply connected to it.
