Information About 20-750-ENC-1
The Allen-Bradley 20-750-ENC-1 is an incremental encoder module that is used in compatibility with The PowerFlex 753, PowerFlex 755, PowerFlex 755TL and PowerFlex 755TR adjustable frequency AC drives. This encoder module provides the capability of implementing loop positioning control which is one of the supported control capability of the PowerFlex 700 class drives.
This encoder module is specifically compatible for use with installation in PowerFlex 753 Port 4 and 5 for Frame A drives; and Ports 4, 5 and 6 for Frame 2 and higher drives. It may also be used with PowerFlex 755 drives and installed to ports 4 and 5 for Frame 1 drive and ports 4,5,6 and 7 for PowerFlex Frame 2 drives and higher. If used with PowerFlex 755T, it may be installed in ports 4,5,6,7 and 8 of Frame 5-15 drives.
The 20-750-ENC-1 supports Single-Ended or differential operation. It has a constant current sink operation with approximate consumption of 10 mA. The modules operates as an input voltage range of 5VDC - 15VDC with sourcing current consumption of 10 mA. The encoder’s channel has a minimum high state voltage of 3.5VDC while the maximum low state voltage is 0.4 VDC. Wire connection to the encoder module must not be more than 30 m (100 ft) at 5V, 183 m (600 ft) at 12V. It is compatible with input devices that has a switching frequency of 250 kHz. This encoder module supports Powered by Drive and Separately Powered Encoder supply configuration. It has a TB1 terminal that is composed of 14-pins for wiring of signal and supply voltage.
The 20-750-ENC-1 module is a single incremental encoder feedback option module. It can be used with PowerFlex 753 and PowerFlex 755 drives in the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 750 series. The specifications for the module input include the use of differential or single-ended operation or constant current sink operation at approximately 10 milliamps. The 20-750-ENC-1 module supports a minimum of 5 Volts DC to a maximum of 15 Volts DC sourcing voltage at 10 milliamps. The minimum high-state voltage is 3.5 Volts DC and the maximum low-state voltage is 0.4 Volts DC. The maximum cable lengths supported are 30 meters at 5 Volts DC and 183 meters at 12 Volts DC. The maximum input frequency can be 250 kilohertz. When not in use, the 20-750-ENC-1 should be kept in an environment where the ambient temperature range is between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius. To prevent damage, the module should not be installed in a drive which is installed in a corrosive environment. The recommended range for the relative non-condensing humidity around the module is from 5 to 95%. The module is rated by the CE, ABS, SEMI F47, KCC, EAC, RCM, and RINA standards.
