The Allen-Bradley 20-750-S1 module is a safe speed monitor option module. It is compatible with the PowerFlex 750 series AC drives, including the PowerFlex 755TL, PowerFlex 755TR, PowerFlex 755TM, PowerFlex 755 AC drives, and the PowerFlex 753 AC drives. To avoid electric shock, prior to module installation or removal, it should be verified that all the DC and AC power sources have been de-energized. Furthermore, the voltage on bus capacitors should be discharged completely before any work is performed on the drive. The bus capacitor voltages can be measured at the test points provided for this purpose. The relevant drive documents and manuals should be referred to for the identification of the test points. Systems with a safety function must be protected against conductive contamination through an enclosure type rated for at least IP 54 NEMA or UL Type 12.

The 20-750-S1 module is certified by the CE, RCM, functional safety, and c-UL-us standards. The environmental specifications for the 20-750-S1 module vary with the type of drive in which it is installed. For PowerFlex 750 drives in IP 20 rated open enclosures, the operating temperature range is 0 to 50 degrees Celsius for Frames 1 to 5. For PowerFlex 750 drives in IP 20 Type 1 enclosures ,the operating temperature range is from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius for drives with Frames 1 to 5 and Frames 6 and 7. The safety function provided by the 20-750-S1 module can fail if the recommended ambient temperature is not maintained. The power requirement of the 20-750-S1 module is 24 Volts DC and the power consumption is 36 Watts. The overspeed response time is user-configurable. Multi-conductor shielded cable should be used with the module.
