The Allen-Bradley 20-HIM-C3S is a Human Interface Module (HIM). This module is specifically a Remote-Panel mount LCD display HIM that is compatible for use with the PowerFlex 7 class drives. It has one (1) Drive Peripheral Interface (DPI) port that supports 125 Kbps or 500 Kbps transfer rate. It has a current draw of 140 milliamperes @ 12 Volts DC, supplied by the host drive.

The 20-HIM-C3S interface is a full numeric interface manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This module does not require an external power supply as power is supplied locally by the host drive.

The 20-HIM-C3S comes with a Drive Peripheral Interface (DPI) which supports transfer rates of 125 Kbps or 500 Kbps. Additionally, this drive comes with a 3-meter communication cable for connection to the host drive with catalog number 1202-C30. Additionally, this module supports accessory cables such as 1202-C03; 1202-C10; 1202-C90. Other accessories available to this module are the NEMA Type 1 Bezel Kit with catalog number 20-HIM-B1; DPI cable kit with connector, tools and 100 meter cable with catalog number 1202-CBL-KIT-100M; DPI Cable connector kit with catalog number 1202-TB-KIT-SET and DPI/SCANPORT one-to-two port splitter cable with catalog number 1203-S03.

The 20-HIM-C3S is specifically compatible for use with PowerFlex 70, PowerFlex 700, PowerFlex 700H, PowerFlex 700 S, and PowerFlex 700L. This Human Interface Module (HIM) comes with a set of keypad assembly which includes complete numerical keys, navigation and confirmation buttons.

The 20-HIM-C3S provides drive operators the capability of configuring, operating and troubleshooting of the drive locally. With a remote mounted type HIM such as the 20-HIM-C3S, users do not need to open the enclosure to access this module. In some applications, this design is practical as it enables the motor to be highly serviceable without much interference to the operation.
