Information About 2080-IF4
The Allen Bradley Micro800 2080-IF4 module is a 4-channel, non-isolated, unipolar voltage/current, analog input plug-in module. As with all of the Bulletin 2080 plug-in modules, It can be plugged in the base unit of Micro820, Micro830 and Micro850 Controllers to extend its I/O functionality, without increasing the controller’s footprint (i.e no need for additional rack space).
Every channel on the Micro800 2080-IF4 can be configured for either unipolar (i.e positive only), current, or voltage input. Additionally, the user can choose either Voltage or Current inputs, or even disable a channel entirely.
Analog inputs of the Micro800 2080-IF4 can range from 0 to 10 Volts for voltage mode, and from 4 to 20 mA for current mode inputs, all at a 12-bit resolution, which means it can interpret measurements down to 2.44 mV for voltage, and .0049 mA for current. Analog inputs can be used to interface multiple types of sensors, devices and current-loop transmitters, which is a vital feature to receive the feedback signal in Closed Loop Control Systems (i. regulatory PID control systems), which are used in continuous process applications found in a number of industries (chemical, oil & gas, motion control, etc).
The ambient temperatures recommended for the Micro800 2080-IF4 operation are from -20 to 65 degrees Celsius (-4 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit).
