Product Description P/N: 2085-IF8
Description
The 2085-IF8 input module is an analog input module with 8 channels from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Micro 850 series. It can be mounted on a DIN Rail and it functions with an RTB or Removable Terminal Block. The 2085-IF8 analog input module needs to be protected from electrostatic discharge and it needs to be installed with enough clearance around it for proper airflow to avoid overheating. It draws 110 milliamps of bus current at 5 Volts DC and 50 milliamps of bus current at 24 Volts DC. The 2085-IF8 analog input module dissipates 1.75 Watts of total power during operation.

Information About 2085-IF8
The 2085-IF8 is an 8-channel voltage/current input module belonging to the Micro800 product line from Allen-Bradley. This expansion I/O is a modular I/O that complements and extends the capabilities of the Micro850™ controllers and these expansion I/O modules interface with the Micro850 controllers by using an I/O expansion port.
Included with each 2085-IF8 module are two 12-pin RTBs (Removable Terminal Blocks).
The 2085-IF8 module weighs 220 g (7.76 oz) and its dimensions are 44.5 x 90 x 87 mm (1.75 x 3.54 x 3.42 in.). The maximum bus current draw is 110 mA at 5V DC and 50 mA at 24V DC.
Specifications for the wire size are as follows: copper wire rated @ 90 °C (194 °F) or greater with 1.2 mm (3/64 in.) maximum insulation. Category 2 shielded wire should be used. The allowable torque on the terminal screws is 0.5-0.6 Nm (4.4-5.3 lb-in.). The power dissipated by the unit during operation is 1.75 W. One green health indicator and eight red error indicators are provided on each module.
The 2085-IF8 module supports 8 inputs. The modules are factory-calibrated and do not support customer calibration.
The modules support a resolution of 14 bits (13 data bits with 1 sign bit). The supported data format is left-justified, 16-bit 2s complement. The conversion type supported is SAR (Successive Approximation Register).
The user-configurable range for the 2085-IF8’s input voltage is from 0-10 V and that for input current is from 0-20 mA. The input impedance for voltage terminals is greater than 1 MΩ and that for the current terminals is less than 100 Ω. The maximum overload specifications are 30V continuous or 32 mA continuous, 1 channel at a time.
