The 2085-IRT4 input module is an expansion input module from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Micro 850 series. It is a temperature type of expansion input module. The 2085-IRT4 expansion input module has 4 thermocouple inputs. There is isolation between the field side wiring and the controller that the input module operates with, but there is no isolation between the 4 inputs. The 2085-IRT4 expansion input module provides noise rejection for its input signals through a digital filter.

The Allen-Bradley 2085-IRT4 is a Micro850 series isolated 4-channel analog input module. This specialty module comes with a Thermocouple/RTD interface, specifically an isolated Thermocouple and 16-bit RTD. The thermocouple types present in this module are the B, C, E, J, K, TXK/XK (L), N, R, S, and T types, while the RTD types are the 100 Ω Pt α = 0.00385 Euro, the 200 Ω Pt α = 0.00385 Euro, the 100 Ω Pt α = 0.003916 U.S, the 200 Ω Pt α = 0.003916 U.S., the 100 Ω Nickel 618, the 200 Ω Nickel 618, the 120 Ω Nickel 672, and the 10 Ω Copper 427. It also has an Ohm input of 0-500 Ω, as well as a mV range of 0-100 mV. Its accuracy for RTD inputs ranges from +/- 0.2 to +/- 0.6 oC, while for Thermocouple inputs it is +/- 0.5 to +/- 3 oC. The typical channel update time of the 2085-IRT4 module is 12-500 ms per enabled channel.
