Description
The 2094-BSP2 is part of the Kinetix 6000 motion control system by Allen-Bradley. This device is a shunt module with a bus input voltage of 650 VDC. The 2094-BSP2 is an Allen-Bradley manufactured shunt module that is designed incompatibility with the Kinetix motion control system particularly, 200 V-class and 400V-class Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 6200, and Kinetix 6500 servo drives. This shunt module is power rail mounted and ideally used when the shunt capacity of Integrated Axis Modules (IAM) or Axis Module (AM) has been exceeded. The 2094-BSP2 shunt module provides an additional 200 Watt shunt rating. The 2094-BSP2’s resistance measurement is 28.75 Ohms. It can be used with drive voltages of 230 VAC and 460 VAC, having a peak power of 5.7 kW @ 230 VAC and 22.5 kW @ 460 VAC along with a peak current of 14 Amperes @ 230 VAC and 28 Amperes @ 460 VAC. This shunt module has a capacitance rating of 470 μF with a short circuit current rating of 200,000 Amperes, symmetrical. The 2094-BSP2 top part is installed with the motor cable shield clamp, One (1) 3-pin phoenix style connector intended for connection of external shunt resistor (RC), and One (1) 2-pin phoenix style connector for wiring of an external thermal switch (TS). The module’s front panel is provided with status LED indicators for depicting Shunt Fault, Overtemperature fault, and Bus status. When the 2094-BSP2 is used with the 2094-AC09-M02-S IAM module the shunt resistor internally installed to the partner IAM is disabled however, shunt resistors to the adjacent AM modules remain active. This shunt module measures 287 mm or 11.3 inches (height) x 70 mm or 2.76 inches (width) x 263 mm or 10.3 inches (depth).
