The 2198-D012-ERS4 servo drive can be used in industrial systems that contain several axes. It comes with 2 Ethernet connectors as well as with 2 digital inputs. It also has 2 motor feedback connectors. The 2198-D012-ERS4 servo drive has several status indicators on its front panel. These status indicators include link speed indicators, link-activity status indicators, a network status indicator, and a module status indicator. These indicators are LED lights that can let the users know when the 2198-D012-ERS4 servo drive is connected properly and alert them when something is wrong or when a connection has been cut off.

The Allen-Bradley 2198-D012-ERS4 Kinetix 5700 dual-axis servo drive is protected by a ground terminal and it comes with 2 cooling fans to prevent overheating. It operates with a maximum rated current loop of 1000 Hertz and with a maximum rated velocity loop of 400 Hertz. The 2198-D012-ERS4 servo drive also operates with 4 kilohertz of rated PWM frequency. Its continuous RMS output current rating is 5 Amps and its peak RMS output current rating is 12.5 Amps. This drive can operate at temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius or 32 and 122 degrees Fahrenheit and it can be stored at temperatures between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius or -40 and 158 degrees Fahrenheit. The 2198-D012-ERS4 servo drive supports non-condensing relative humidity levels between 5 and 95% in both operation and storage.
