A salient feature of the Kinetix 5100 drives like the 2198-E4004-ERS drive includes support for Dual-Ethernet connectivity. The 2198-E4004-ERS drive operates with 342 to 528 Volts AC 3-phase input voltage. The output specifications of the drive are 0.4 kilowatts of output power, 1.6 Amps of output current and 5.4 Amps of peak output current. The operators can connect the drive to an Ethernet/IP module or controller in certain systems. The 2198-E4004-ERS  indexing servo drive’s parameters are stored in its non-volatile memory.

The high-speed position capture (HCAP) function uses high-speed digital input to rapidly capture motor position data and store it for future use. The high-speed position compare function compares the actual motor position with the stored position data. The electronic camming feature supported by the drive enables non-linear electronic gearing between the motor and a master device. The 2198-E4004-ERS drive supports a hardwired Safe Torque-Off (STO) connector. The STO connector on the drive is used for wiring external devices and cascading safety connections between drives. The 2198-E4004-ERS drive and associated machinery must be professionally installed. The drive should only be operated under the specified ambient conditions.
