Information About 22A-A8P0N104
The Allen-Bradley 22A-A8P0N104 is a PowerFlex adjustable frequency AC drive. This drive is a 200VAC, 3-Phase class drive and delivers and output current of 2.0 Amperes and output power of 2.0 HP or 1.5 kW. This drive also provides a fully-programmable output frequency range of 0-400 Hz.
Designed mainly to implement speed control, this drive has a Sensorless Vector Control performance. It automatically provides an auto-boost or IR compensation as well as slip compensation feature. The Sensorless Vector Control performance also provides a high-level Torque output across the entire speed range, even at low-speed range which is an important feature when this drive is used in lifting applications.
This drive also supports installation in ungrounded systems as it comes with a removable Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV). It also has a pre-charged relay which limits the inrush current that flows to the motor, further protecting it from the harmful effects and high consumption generated by high level of inrush current. It also comes with a dynamic braking resistor, enabling the drive to perform dynamic braking by dissipating excess energy in the form of heat. The Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) output frequency of this drive is adjustable up o 16 kHz.
The 22A-A8P0N104 has an overload capacity of 150% for 60 seconds and 200% for 3 seconds. It supports DIN rail and direct panel mounting, With embedded Human Interface Module (HIM) installed with a local potentiometer for adjusting frequency output with integral RS485 communication interface used to connect the drive in a daisy-chain network, allowing remote operation and configuration.
The drive has an integral keypad with control keys and a local potentiometer. The screen displays four digits and is surrounded by 10 extra LED indicators. The HIM has a fixed keypad and measures 18 x 10 x 13.6 centimeters (7.09 x 3.94 x 5.35 inches) with a weight of 2.2 kilograms (4.9 pounds). The frame drive can be installed by mounting it to a DIN rail to enable virtual snapping. An ambient temperature of between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius enables Zero Stacking to minimize wasted space between the drives. An adjustable DIP switch enables a user to control either a source or a sink module by adjusting the control logic of 24 Volts DC. The wiring also comes with input-output terminals for the Start / Stop / Reverse operations denoted by numbers 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The user can program the I/O terminals for the double or triple operations. The programmable I/O terminals 4 and 5 provide bonus flexibility; a user can program the Jog, RS485 Control, Auxiliary Fault, Decel or Second Accel, Clear Fault, Preset Frequencies and Local Control functions. Any RTU Master device is compatible with the PowerFlex drive. Integral communication cards such as BACnet, PROFIBUS DP, LonWorks, EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet can also be used to configure a network and to improve machine performance. The user can create an interface of communication with any drive by enabling the Bluetooth function on a personal computer to establish a wireless hotspot through the DSI Wireless Interface Module (WIM). An integral RS485 communication enables a user to use the PowerFlex drive in a multi-drop configured network. The DF1 port enables the connectivity between any controller and a serial converter module.
