Information About 22B-B012N104
The Allen-Bradley 22B-B012N104 is a PowerFlex 40 adjustable frequency AC drive. This drive is used for the purposes analog Speed modulation, Torque control and energy savings. It drives the connected AC motor via the rated electrical outputs of 2.2 kW or 3.0 HP, 12 Amperes and 0-400 Hz programmable frequency range.
The 22B-B012N104 implements Speed and Torque control via a variety of control techniques supported by this drive. For Speed control, Volts / Hertz (V/Hz) control may be utilized. This control method maintains frequency and voltage proportion, providing consistent speed along the frequency range and voltage output of the drive. For Torque control, Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) may be used. This control method generates a high level of Torque even at low speed, enabling the drive to be used in applications that involve lifting and moving of fluctuating loads. For energy savings or lowered energy consumption, this drive permits configuration if ramp-up, acceleration profiles during start-up; Ramp-down and deceleration during motor stoppage. With these parameters, generation of inrush current is minimized, lower energy consumption. To further maximize energy saving features, this drive may also be configured to allow the motor to operate at a minimum and maximum speed instead of completely stopping and starting the motor. This is suitable for analog control loops as it effectively prevents cyclic ON/OFF of the motor and effectively prevents motor hunting.
The 22B-B012N104 comes with an embedded Human Interface Module (HIM) which is used to locally operate the drive as well as configure and aid in troubleshooting in the event of drive malfunction. If installed with an optional Ethernet I/P card, this drive may implement premiere integration, integrating drive parameters directly with CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers.
It is engineered to deliver 12A current output and 2.2 kW or 3HP power rating output. This category of frequency AC drive supports DSI protocol, RS485 communication and is compatible for installation of additional communication adapters that support ProfiBus, Devicenet, Controlnet and Ethernet I/P protocols. The 22B-B012N104 is in the standard group of drives and it must be kept in a relative humidity range of 0-95%, non-condensing. In addition, it uses the 140M-C2E-C16 part for its 140M motor protection and a fuse with a 25A rating. The 22B-B012N104 has a 100,000A maximum short circuit rating and it releases 100 Watts in external losses and 25 Watts in internal losses (for a total of 125 Watts of power loss) Mounted in an IP20, NEMA/UL enclosure, the Allen-Bradley 22B-B012N104 runs even without a sensor vector control. In addition, this PowerFlex 40 drive must be surrounded by an air temperature of -10-50°C. The 22B-B012N104 also has a keypad HIM input that works in the unfiltered emission class rating and has a 2-16 kHz carrier frequency range.
