With RS485 electrical standard, this drive may be connected to a daisy-chain network wherein up to 31 drives may be connected and polled remotely. Other communication protocols supported by this drive include Profibus DP, LONWORKS, BACNet, Ethernet, ControlNet and other protocols.
The 22F-V2P5N103 may also be configured and operated locally using the supplied Human Interface Module (HIM).
The 22F-V2P5N103 has a small size and supports zero stacking feature for up to 40 degrees Celsius, making it an ideal choice for applications with tight space requirements or on-machine installations. The 22F-V2P5N103 enclosure can be panel mounted or DIN rail mounted and is rated as NEMA Type Open/IP20 suitable for Indoor and In-panel installation. The Allen Bradley 22F-V2P5N103 provides extensive flexibility and reliability features to an application; for example, it incorporates a removable MOV to protect the drive against voltage transients and input line instability, and its inrush current is controlled by pre-charge relay, it can withstand 150% overload for 60 seconds or even 200% overload for 3 seconds which provides a versatile protection against overload condition. The 22F-V2P5N103 has 5 digital inputs, 3 of them are dedicated for Start, Stop, Reverse Commands, the other two are general purpose inputs that can be configured for commands like jogging, preset frequencies, clearing faults, local control, etc. All digital inputs are 24 Volts and can be configured as Source/Sink via a DIP switch setting. The 22F-V2P5N103 also has 2 analog inputs that enable it to receive speed commands as 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 Volt signals from a local potentiometer or analog PLC O/P card. In addition to Digital/Analog I/O, the 22F-V2P5N103 can be networked, configured and commanded via an Integral RS485/DSI communication, which means it can be connected to a PLC, PanelView HMI or any RS485/DSI compatible device.
